Where did you grow up? I was born in a little party town called Clinton, Ok. I moved around throughout my childhood. I have lived in over 20 states. I have spent the majority of my adult years in Wichita, KS so that is where I represent, but I have roots in places like Raleigh, NC, Orlando, FL, Phoenix, AZ, and all around the map.

How was life growing up? Not great. I was the youngest of 4, and my parents were into the party lifestyle. I never fit in with society as a whole.
As a child, I went through a lot of physical trauma, such as breaking my back in 3 places from a fight with my brother, and almost losing my eye when I got hit in the eye with a rock, to breaking bones skateboarding, and getting hit by a car that caused me to do flips in the air and land 60 feet away.

As well as a lot of emotional turmoil. My parents divorced when I was 9 and I started moving around from parent to parent, to grandparent, to aunt, to friends. I moved out of my house when I was 14 and just started moving in with different people, and it was never really stable or pleasant.

Did your parents make music? My mom sings in church. My dad didn’t have any musical aspirations.

Have you lost anyone in your family? Yes. I lost my Dad to cancer in 2008. It made me a lot colder as a person.

How did you deal with the loss? I went into a downward spiral. I just stopped caring about everything. I did not eat or sleep or watch tv or hang out with friends or do anything for quite a while. After that, in the same period, I was staying with my Brother and FYF, and that’s when we got raided and life flipped upside down.

What is something that most people don’t know about you? I’m a highly trained martial artist. I have been studying JKD for 6 years. I am a 12th rank Sihing of Jeet Kune Doe, and my lineage is directly 3rd generation from Bruce Lee, and I am Department of Homeland Security Anti-Terrorist Combat certified, which teaches the same stuff as the DHS and Navy Seals.

How is the rap scene in your city? I feel like the rap scene is the same in most cities. You have a small group of people who are the “tastemakers” for whatever reason, and they decide who they want to give a chance by putting them on shows or introducing them to their connections, or putting them on podcasts, or radio stations or whatever leverage they have.

Either they are accepting anyone with money, and charging a’la carte for their services, which causes the artists to struggle, or they are putting on their family and friends and ignoring all other artists. The artists all compete with each other and try to promote and market their music towards each other, and they pay the “gatekeepers” time after time to perform in the same venues and arenas without it ever having any actual impact.

Or they put on lipstick and makeup and sell out to the LGBT community even though they are not gay.

Is Hip-Hop dead? Hip Hop will never die. It has changed a lot since its inception, but that is evolution.

What made you become a rapper? I had a lot of stress and stuff on my mind, and I wrote about it to get it off my chest. It started as poetry, and then as I got older, I put it together with instrumentals and started creating music!
How do you separate yourself from other artists? I understand that the industry is smoke and mirrors that are designed to take your money and keep you in the same position, so instead of spinning my wheels, in place I built a conglomerate with hundreds of people under my umbrella, and I own the #1 DJ Coalition on google search results, and I am a music executive.

What is in your playlist? All Real Life Music, LLC all the time! I am listening to that new Trill Will, DJ Star BMF/Real Life Music album that is closing in on 100k plays on LiveMixtapes.

We partnered with LiveMixtapes on a distribution deal. Shout out my guy Pesh, and I am bumping that unreleased Real Life Lukazi album he’s working on, and I got that Blackoutt — Real Life on repeat, and that Stiff Cost — Western Wind is Next Level.

And I can’t even begin to tell you about my bro P.Gutter , we got a whole album, Paint Brush, with Statik Selektah production, and another one with features from 88 Keys, Jim Jones, Jadakiss, Redman, Graph, Fred The Godson, Vado, and more called Northern Exposure.

I am also really excited about this 2hgKET project we are putting together, and I have been bumping that Kooly3x untitled album we working, on since he turned it in. And that Freaky Focus album he is putting together is on repeat too. He is such an original artist. I can not even begin to scrape the surface, we got such power hitters over here. Plots are our R&B Star, DJ Nonless is working on a crazy album, the whole Rite 1 is working with some serious heat with artists like Shootah and Tony Bubbles, and Demiigod, and C A M O, and Willie Nickles. Young Kazz is over here getting offers from Movie licensing companies and Jigsawe is making top-quality videos. We all winning over here fam. I just signed a new group from Africa called Grim House, and my Lil bro KMG Toven got some heat we about to drop! But, right now, I have 32 Degrees from me and my family, hosted by DJ Chill Will, currently on the front page of LiveMixtapes as a world premiere, on infinite loop!

Who influences your style? Life! I don’t listen to music other than my own for it to influence me, and my influences changed. For rap, originally there were none. When I was writing poetry I was listening to rock and roll and alternative music. That’s why I used that “Glycerin” sample in that Mickey Factz feature I have, Heartbreaker. I love that song. I loved it when it came out. I listened to some Do or Die, and 2Pac, and then ICP, but I was already rapping at that point and developing my style. As time went on my top artists that had to have an influence are Lil Wayne, T.I., Kanye West, Eminem, and Jay-Z. Lil Wayne for his punchlines, T.I. for his hooks and his lyrics, Kanye West for his genius and his melodies, Eminem for his multisylabatic rhyme schemes and vivid imagery, and Jay-Z for his authenticity and storytelling and his business acumen.

Tell us about Real Life Music, LLC? We are a record label that owns the #1 DJ Coalition on google, and we own another 60+ record labels. We are like the Universal Music Group of independent music, where we give other labels an imprint and allow them to use our resources and network, but we have our media platforms, DJs, radio stations, magazines, blogs, influencers, etc.

What do you like most about making music? The feeling when someone acknowledges that my work has an impact on them, or has an effect, or gives me credit for Mastering my craft.

What inspired you to start making music? It was always there. Just in different forms. I always hummed and made up songs when I was a kid doing my chores, and then when life got so crazy and painful I had to write to get everything off my chest.

Who’s your ideal musician to collaborate with, and why? Drake. I feel like his hooks are the most powerful and impressive in music, and that my verses and his hooks would break records.

What do you think about indieElite? I love it. Renaldo Creative is a great guy, and everything he touches is SERIOUS. I love that this is a physical magazine, created by a creative genius, and it is on par with any other magazine in this industry!

What other talents do you have? I am very good at putting the correct people into the correct positions, and building infrastructure.

Why must you succeed? Because it’s in my blood! I have no other choice. I’m not doing anything else, this IS my life.

What projects are you working on? A lot fam! We are about to drop this 32 Degrees album hosted by my Brother DJ Chill Will, which is on the front page of LiveMixtapes as a “World Premiere”, and then we got a whole slate of artists on our various labels releasing projects year-round. Trill Will is already working on volume 2 of G.F.M. with DJ Star, For myself, I am putting together my records into club and radio lists to be able to get the DJs the proper records and tightening down on the business side of things. We just got set up as a registrar to do our ISRC codes. We got all of our contracts out for transfer of ownership on our products so that all of our copyrights are in place. We have our own publishing company, and our own merchandising company, and our own radio promotion company, and our radio stations. We are building our in-house production team, right now we have 8 producers creating beats for us. We are building the DJ Coalition. I’m partnered up with Digiwaxx (Shout out CL) and I help run the website and help with the calls and I am working on studying my masonic knowledge and learning the Apocrypha at the same time.

How has Club House improved your marketing? The clubhouse has directly benefited me by allowing me to meet some great people like Tommy over at First Note and Craig at Rap Plug, who are now my friends and a part of our network!
