Our journey begins with “The Time Traveler,” paying tribute to Duncan’s humble musical roots in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, a city that remains dear to his heart and the origin of this enchanting musical expedition through time.

Duncan Daniels then crafts what is destined to be the next PH-City anthem with “PurpleVille.” An ode to Port Harcourt City, affectionately known as “The Garden City,” “PurpleVille” harks back to the early 2000s when members of the renowned Tuck Tyght Crew, including luminaries like Andre Blaze, Double K (Vokulz), Mackgee, Lyrikal, and many more, lovingly referred to PHCity by this name. The track also features a remarkable vocal ensemble courtesy of Ara Muzicc Choir.

And what’s a musical journey without a love story? But unlike most love tales, Duncan finds himself evading a past love interest; Carolyn, who resurfaces only upon hearing of his success. Enter the rising Nigerian star out of New York City, Timi Dre, who teams up with Duncan to create an eargasmic, musical masterpiece. Timi’s boundless musical talent adds ethereal melodies and guitar rhythms to this enchanting tune.

We discover why Duncan isn’t interested in Carolyn, as someone else gives him “High Blood Pressure.” This track is one of a kind and maintains a mid-tempo groove but exudes a distinct drive. Here, Duncan steps out of his comfort zone to flaunt his versatility, enlisting London-based female vocalist Chai T and London’s very own Mukhy for assistance in delivering a well-rounded record. The song also features live saxophone by Norwegian-based saxophonist, wind instrumentalist Lady Albatross, and UK bass player Jay Brown.

The project concludes on a somber yet potent note as Duncan Daniels collaborates with fellow veteran, New York City-based Nigerian rapper, Iceberg Slim, who makes an epic comeback with his delivery that offers the ultimate finisher for this body of work. You may have already encountered his works with Duncan Daniels, on songs such as “Back Outside” and “Yard Party,” with both songs getting considered for Grammy nominations this year.

This project also reinforces Kulkeh Beats’ influence on Duncan Daniels’ sound, with credits for producing 60 percent of Duncan’s most recent “S.O.L.O” Album. Kulkeh is lauded for his contributions to tracks 1, 2, 3 & 5 on TTT ep. Track 4 features London-based Ghanaian producer Peter Abdallah, marking his second collaboration with Duncan Daniels after his work on “Yard Party,” which was under consideration in the Best World Music Performance category at the Grammys.
