Kendrick Lamar GNX | New Album Review

Kendrick Lamar just released a new twelve-track album, GNX. This release slowly puts nails in Drake’s music coffin. Featuring tracks with SZA, Mustard, Gunplay and more.

NOTABLE SONGS

A notable song on the album is Squable Up. It features classic 80’s R&B vibes and West Coast sound. The song samples the 1983 hit song When I Hear The Music by Debbie Deb. Luther is a tribute to the Late Luther Vandross and features a sample of Luther. SZA leads her vocals to provide a beautiful harmony with Luther.

Man at the Garden sample Barry White’s I’m Gonna Love, You Just A Little Bit Drums. This song has a mellow vibe and allows you time to rest. While Hey Now is a west-coast track that will have you dancing. The track features Dody6. This is my first time hearing Dody6. Reincarnated reminds me of Tupac. The beat and the way he is flowing. TV Off is another banger. I feel like it’s Not Like Us Part 2. The beat is creative, and it’s a club banger. Drake filed a lawsuit against UMG and Spotify.

Drake has to work hard to come back. K-Dot got everyone saying, Mustarrddd. Even Frenches tried to get clout from the album.

RAP BEEF

The rap beef between K-Dot and Drake is what Hip-Hop needed. Drake started the beef, and Kendrick finished it. Many people consider Drake a pop star. K-Dot is a lyricist. Many people can relate to Kendrick. Drake grew up in a Middle-class home.

THE RISE OF K-DOT

Things are looking up for K-Dot. K-Dot will headline the Superbowl halftime show in New Orleans, which put Jay-Z under fire with Lil Wayne Fans. Lil Wayne fans felt that he should do the Superbowl show over Kendrick. Many users think that Jay-Z was being petty. Nicki Minaj to Lil Wayne’s defense.
